THE RENOVATION.

As you already know my family and I spent the last 2 years living in Switzerland. Whilst away we rented out our 1970s do’er-upper home. Upon our return it was evident that we needed to take action. We had never loved our red carpets or terracotta tiles - interiors aside, we also had to address the windows we had glued (which also run with condensation in the winter months), the pipes that kept bursting, poor insulation…add to that an energy crisis which is resulting in spiralling electricity and gas bills, rising food prices and a recession. We keep telling ourselves there is never a good time, right?!?

This blog is our journey into creating a more sustainable home as well as reducing our carbon footprint. My intention is to share our experiences, learnings and links hopefully inspiring others to make their homes greener too. For me, we have one amazing planet and I think every wee step you take to help is absolutely worth it!
